What’s New At Releem - April 2024

APR 26, 2024 • WRITTEN BY ROMAN AGABEKOV
Time flies! It's been three years since we kicked off our journey with a tweet, and what a ride it's been. If you've been with us from the start, you might recall the thread where it all began.

From the beginning, Releem wasn't just about building another tech tool. We set out to transform how database monitoring and management are done — making it simpler, more automated, and packed with insights you can actually use.

And guess what? We've made that vision a reality.

Releem has grown into an intuitive, user-friendly tool that automatically spots performance hiccups in your database, suggests fixes, and even applies them for you.
A big thanks to everyone who's joined us on this journey — your support, feedback, and trust mean everything to us.

Updates to Releem Portal

This month, we're proud to roll out Query Analytics, your new go-to for spotting slow and inefficient queries faster than ever. It's all about giving you the tools to optimize performance effortlessly.

Check out this tutorial video to see how Query Analytics can change your workflow.
We also added the Aborted Clients metric to the Releem Dashboard. This includes all instances where connections are prematurely terminated due to the client failing to close the connection correctly, which is important to track from a resource, stability, and performance standpoint.

Updates to Releem Platform

  • Fixed an error related to the open_files_limit variable on RDS (Issue #284)
  • Adjusted variable recommendations for those using AWS RDS Aurora. Variables that cannot be changed (like innodb_log_file_size, innodb_buffer_pool_instances, and innodb_buffer_pool_chunk_size) removed from recommendations (Issue #281).

Updates to Releem Agent

  • Resolved an issue where Releem Agent stopped when unable to access information on disk partitions (Issue #276).
  • Fixed an installation issue that was giving wrong permissions and impacting the ability to apply configurations or view the latency graph (Issue #272).
  • Solved a file integrity issue that was appearing after the Agent updated (Issue #277).
