The TuningWizard team, led by founder Gabriel Ciciliani, is joining the Releem team — bringing SQL Query Optimization to Releem.
This story actually started 3 years ago when Peter Zaitsev (the founder of Percona) introduced me to Gabriel. Gabriel is a highly experienced engineer and DBA with solid entrepreneurial experience. He's been building TuningWizard for 4 years now.

Same Vision, Shared Goals
When Gabriel and I first started talking, it quickly became clear that we shared the same vision: Database Management should be simple, automated, with actionable insights.
SQL Query Optimization has been on the Releem roadmap for a long time. We knew it was critical for our users, but we also knew we needed to get it right.
That’s where the connection with Gabriel and TuningWizard started to feel less like coincidence and more like the perfect fit.

The Journey to Integration
In May 2024, after the Releem team released Query Analytics, Gabriel and I discussed a potential partnership and we later decided to move forward by integrating TuningWizard with Releem.
We worked hard to get SQL Query Optimization into Releem, and TuningWizard was at the core of this effort.
It wasn't just about adding a feature - it was about making sure it worked seamlessly with everything our users already loved about Releem.

Results and Feedback That Matter
Since the integration, hundreds of customers have tried it on thousands of servers.
The feedback has been incredible. Users are seeing real performance improvements, and more importantly, they're saving time on what used to be manual, complex optimization work.
Now TuningWizard analyzes more than 35.000 SQL queries daily .

What's Next
The TuningWizard team is now officially part of the Releem team, and together we’re building the next generation of AI-powered tools for Database Management.
We're not just adding team members - we're adding expertise, vision, and proven products that our users need. Gabriel brings years of deep database optimization knowledge, and TuningWizard brings battle-tested SQL optimization capabilities.
